Rough Side Sketch of the Zombonie
The original design was basically an ice re-surfacer, which we found amusing in concept, but it wasn't the most exciting vehicle to look at. It was spiced up to share the elements of a steam roller and a street sweeper to become the monstrosity it is now.
No Brainer
Sketch concept for the No Brainer zombie type. Since iPhone/iPod Touch screens are so small, we chose an exaggerated cartoon style to help distinguish the different zombie types and features. But mostly, we wanted to play up the more fun side of a zombie apocalypse, namely running zombies down with a giant death machine.
A more detailed concept of the No Brainer zombie type. Due to the size of the screen and humorous tone of the game, we eventually went with more exaggerated features and a streamlined cartoon style.
Spawning
Early sketch of how zombies can spawn from manhole covers. The only way to shut down a manhole cover spawn point is by running over them while a zombie is peaking out or trying to get out.
